Platinum Hotel & Spa / Mahabir Palace Kathmandu reviews
22There was no look for bathroom, no bucket, no mug, and no milk powder to drink tea. Rest all was good. Improve all this things
The experience was awesome on this hotel. Services was very good. Hotel Management and staff was very polite and helpful. I refer to everyone this hotel in Kathmandu who wants a pocket friendly and good amenities hotel.
Almost every emanities r available, nice breakfast of good quality. Staff r coordinating with great hospitality.
Comfortable beds, good ambience. The problem is with the bathroom locks. Overall a good place.
Very Polite, well behaved, cooperative staff, And during breakfast their behavior, and serving manner is also too good, if anyone comfortable in room size, it's a best hotel to stay,
Worst experience staying in this hotel
Poor service and they charged 350 for empty glass
I stayed in this hotel with my family on 25th oct.worst experience.due lack of staffs at their hotel
1- no hot water in bath room.we inform in evening 7 ock, they respond it will come in half an hour, we approach several times but till next morning.same condition. We approach reception.no one was their after searching manager.we found him sleeping and snoring.then he came in our room and check and take half an hour then open another room.for shower.
2- worst dinner at night.panner we ordered it was hard to chew.we asked manager about it.he respond sory we don't hv cook he is on leave.
3- in morning we approach for breakfast as buffet.we are shocked to c nothing. We ask manager.he told us their no buffe today.because less occupancy.so we will prepare what u will ask.first we ordered fruits after serving once we demand little more.staff told it's chargeable.and behaviour is waiter was too rude.
Worst experience.
I can totally recommend this hotel for a stay in Kathmandu. The rooms are clean, restaurant for breakfast and room service were very delicious.
Unfortunately, the in-room WiFi signal was very weak and for the gym you needed a service person to let you in. You couldn’t just open the door with your card.
It's a decent hotel in Kathmandu. It is in front side of hotel saltee. There are various type of rooms and some rooms are very small, so check the room before booking. They provide locker inside the room. Location of hotel is good. If you like to walk then you can reach Kathmandu Darbar Square in 15-20 minutes.
Food quality is also decent.
Perfect hotel. Has all amenities and facilities. Rooms, casino, gym, spa and all sort of luxuries. Do drop by this hotel if you happen to visit kathmandu
Great place but it would be 5 stars by simply improving the breakfast menu and going the extra mile in the room housekeeping department. Still a viable option for a stay in Kathmandu. Recommended.
This upscale hotel is 2 km from Kathmandu Durbar Square and 5 km from the lush Garden of Dreams. Tribhuvan International Airport is 9 km away.
The airy rooms and suites feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minifridges, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Suites and upgraded rooms add living areas.
There’s a relaxed restaurant, a bar, a rooftop cafe, and a cafe with a terrace. Other amenities include a spa, a gym, and meeting and event space.

This hotel provides good service for customers and also provides facility of good banquet, spa, casino and club which provides you a lot of fun.
One of the finest hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal. Platinum Residency (also known as The Fern Residency) is located at the heart of Kathmandu city. We stayed one night before flying to Dhaka and the experience was amazing. Room rentals comes with complementary breakfast. A bit expensive though.
Best budget hotel. Almost my indian guest stay here and we prefer this hotel. But need to service first.
Good gym. Reasonable food, but breakfast was never on time. House keeping responsive. Momos were yum.
Best thing I like that is night food service. We were rooming for Dinner in Kathmandu at 2 AM. Here we eat dinner, they have limited menu in late night. I attached the menu with photo, it was worth eating and their service also fine. They have car parking facilities as well.
This was my 5th trip to Kathmandu and my first one at Platinum, the hotel was booked for us by the Casino. We stayed there as it was second closest to the Mahjong and since we were meant to spend most of our time at the casino for the trip. We stayed at the Executive room, which was very spacious as per my expectation for this place. The beds were comfortable and clean enough, the bath was equally spacious with a nice tub and separate space for a shower.
All rooms in the hotel were non-smoking, I didn't like the small restaurant, although we only went there for breakfast in the morning. The breakfast buffet definitely lacked variety and we weren't offered omellet option in our last two days stay.
Staff was helpful and were available around the clock. They had a mini gym and a spa, we checked out but couldn't spent lot of time at the gym due to our schedule.
We shall come back soon, although for the price they charge per night I would rather consider the grand hotel which is in the neighborhood really.
Really very nice and comfortable hotel. Equipped with Gym, Sauna and casino. Good location, easy approach.
We just went to have food at their restaurant. The food was tasty and the portion was good enough for 3 people (3 dishes)
